In March 2020, the Santa Ana Regional Water Quality Control Board (RWQCB) determined that the direct exposure pathway associated with soil impacted with Trichloroethene (TCE) and related compounds had been successfully addressed at a site in Santa Ana, California.  The determination was based on the BEC completion of a program that consisted of the removal of shallow soil impacts and the implementation of a dual phase extraction system.  Based on this work, the RWQCB determined that the direct exposure pathway between ground surface and a depth of 15 feet had been adequately addressed.
