President’s Profile

Mr. Brett Bowyer is a Principal and co-founder of Bowyer Environmental Consulting, Inc. (BEC) based in Huntington Beach, California. He has over 32 years of hydrogeologic, remediation, and project/program management experience in the environmental field. Mr. Bowyer has served as the primary technical consultant on a wide variety of projects and programs, involving diverse environmental issues of concern and client objectives. Mr. Bowyer’s has served as the Partner-in-Charge for projects involving mergers and acquisitions; fast-track, multimedia investigations to support property redevelopment/brownfield, agency (USEPA, DTRSC, RWQCB and local) driven RI/FS and RCRA Corrective Action, remedial portfolio management, litigation support activities, and PRP Group Management. He has worked for major transportation firms, chemical and oil companies, electronics/semiconductor manufacturers, real estate developers, law firms, insurance carriers, municipal/ hazardous waste management companies, and the aerospace industry.

Mr. Bowyer has designed and managed over 200 hydrogeological investigations. He is a technical expert in various investigation techniques, such as direct push soil sampling, multi-phase sampling techniques, active soil gas surveys, various drilling methodologies, and standard and multi-depth ground water sampling procedures. Mr. Bowyer specializes in the design and implementation of innovative and effective data collection, evaluation, and visualization techniques. Mr. Bowyer has also planned and implemented numerous effective remedial solutions, including in and ex situ soil vapor extraction, bioremediation, recycling, air sparging, free product recovery, soil stabilization, chemical oxidation, and monitored natural attenuation.
